Don't leave bear spray in your car on hot days
The hot weather these days means everyone is heading outdoors to enjoy everything the great outdoors has to offer. Just a reminder to NOT leave your bear spray in a hot vehicle. Vehicles trap heat which means on a hot day, the inside of your vehicle can reach temperatures over 55°C or 131°F. Bear spray canisters can explode if they reach temperatures over 50°C. As we enjoy the outdoors and the mental health the outdoors brings, it's important that we remember to stay safe in bear country and carry bear spray.
